As I gaze through the window of time,
I reflect on my life.
Of the years filled with laughter
The times marked with emptiness and strife. 

But through it all is heard a song that's very clear.
It sings to me, very special, very dear.
It's of a man who has meant so much to me.
To all my friends, and to all my family.

It is a song, very special, very true.
It's right for me, yet it's perfect just for you.
So hear as I try to give praise to a man from my heart

He's my Father.

He is kind, he is wise
There is wisdom in his eyes and his gaze.
He brings truth to our hearts
With his words that will last for all our days.

He gives us hope when we're feeling very low.
He offers faith, turns our spirits all aglow.
He teaches right in a world that follows wrong.
His talk is soft, yet his action's very strong.

He's always there when a fellow needs a friend.
He has compassion, warmth and kindness to no end.
He's always up, never down
Always smiles, never frowns, what a man!...

He's my Father.

Now I've grown up it's true,
There's not much more I can do, but to say
That I miss you so much
Take good care
And remember as I pray..

That God bless you and keep you well and strong.
That peace and joy and love be with you all life long.
So please understand
