Too Many Blues

There's too many billboards, too many fashions
Too many homeless, too many politicians
Too many hungry and we’ve got plenty of food
There's not enough rainbows and there's too many blues

There's too much anger, too many drugs
Too much violence, way too many guns
I wish we'd forgive each other the way God forgives me and you
But there's so much bitterness and there's too many blues

Late at night I pray for a light
to come shinin' through
`cause life just beats the hell out of people
And sometimes the heaven, too

There's too much concrete, not enough flowers
Too many people lusting for power
Too many children too often abused
There's too many soapboxes and too many blues
