Lyrics:
The Planets!
I was thinking of the planets,
Up in the Milky Way,
From Mercury to Pluto,
So very far away!
I thought, if I could have one,
To be my very own,
Which planet would I choose,
From outer space’s zone?
Planets big, & Planets small,
Flying ‘round the sun,
I think they’re really neat,
Each and every one!
If I chose Mercury,
It’d be so very hot!
But then again, there’s Venus,
It’s such a shiny spot!
Of course, there is the Earth,
With valleys, hills & streams
And Mars with it’s color red,
That gave us lots of dreams!
(REFRAIN)
Maybe I’d pick Jupiter,
The biggest one you know,
But then I thought of Saturn,
With it’s rings all aglow!
I like blue-green Uranus,
As it rotates on its’ side,
And Neptune’s sure exciting,
With it’s winds blowing wide!
(REFRAIN)
Finally, there’s Pluto,
It’s the coldest, and it’s small,
Very, very far away,
A teeny, tiny ball!
I simply can’t decide,
Which planet should be mine,
I guess that I will share them,
Since they’re all so very fine!!
