There’s somethin’ I was meanin’ to tell her. 
It was right on the tip of my tongue. 
But ev’ry time I tried, somethin’ didn’t feel right 
and my courage would up and run.

I kept it locked up deep in my heart. 
She was there for me waiting patiently 
but I couldn’t let down my guard. And…

Time won’t wait until we find 
the perfect time to say what’s on our mind.
Time can’t give us back the minutes we were waiting
