they promised us flying cars robots and time machines
cryogenically frozen human beings
jet packs that'd send us up to the sky like shooting stars
teleportation devices that'd send us straight to mars

well into the millenium 
not a whole lot has changed
a whole lot of empty promises
people sit around talking about the olden days

the future is now and it stinks
you can't do what you want
beware of everything you do or say
watch as our freedom slowly fades away

they bought us off with their gadgets and gizmos
electronic tracking devices
billions walking around in a trance well we're playing right into their hands
a false sense of being connected all for the sake of data collection
how long will it be until they achieve their master plan
