Northern Lights

They only turn on several times a year and not all who look will see
The stage is set over the northern hemisphere where higher ground
Meets tranquility 

Today was just like any other day although the sun was out and the sky
Was clear most people just went about in their usual way and it was just
Another day just another day around here

But once the night came the sky began to glow as sister moon started
To wane mother earth put on a spectacular show

The northern lights are dancing across the New England sky tonight
Bouncing prisms colorful and ever so bright a mix of blue and green
With a dash of fluorescent light what a beautiful natural phenomenon
What a beautiful sight
