Born in 1960 in Monterrey, Mexico, Manuel Zapien-Gamez started writing songs at age 10 without knowing yet that music would be his vocation. Over time he discovered that God had given him the gift of composing, and he began his journey into the hard-and-difficult but also the beautiful-and-rewarding world of music. By the age of 20, he had started a band called The Region. After recording five records together in the 1980s, with Manuel as the lead singer, the band ended -- but now his lively Latin music breathes anew here at AudioSparx.
