David Greathouse is an award-winning, Missouri-based songwriter. He started out in earnest as a writer during the ‘80s. Heavily influenced by Dan Fogelberg, James Taylor, Harry Chapin, Jackson Browne, Jim Croce, John Denver, and other lyrical Singer-Songwriters of the era, he considers himself a storyteller at heart. His own lyric craftsmanship has garnered significant local appreciation and his distinctive, compelling musical style is uniquely his. David works in the Folk, Folk Rock, Adult Contemporary, Pop, Indie, and Americana genres.
This piece started out in life as an exploration of ii V I progressions. But as it evolved it seemed to ask to be wrapped up in a bow and put on display.
