After living in England for 15 years, US artist Rhonda Merrick returned home to Louisiana in 2021 and found inspiration for new songs based on old and ancient things she thought she'd forgotten from her childhood. The people, the food, the sight of the sun rising and setting over the Mississippi River, the cool, soft velvet air in the evening which drenches your skin with humidity so thick you can almost grasp it in your fingers.
