Based in London, Green Antarctica is a new Japanese acoustic Pop/Folk duo featuring Midori (vocals, piano) and Tsukasa (guitar). Creating detailed arrangements with minimal instrumentation, their neatly woven sound is organic, fresh, and intimate. Green Antartica's songs are sung in Japanese, but their work often sounds more Celtic and European rather than J-Pop. They met in London in 2010 when Midori was a composer in a Pop/Folk trio called Green Tempo, and Tsukasa was a guitarist in a Rock band called Glass.
