Q.  Can I Earn Decent Money?

A.  Yes absolutely!!  Digital Distributions is one of the fastest-growing components of our business.  Some artists earn in the range of several thousand dollars per calendar quarter. Earnings improve when the type of music you create is in the genres that are more in demand, which generally are these genres:

  • Pop - Pop music, especially Pop Vocal music is some of the best-selling, best-streaming music in the world and it is consistently one of the top-earning genres on all of the retail decks, as well as on RadioSparx.

  • Dance  -  There is an insatiable appetite for dance music around the world, including both vocal and instrumental! - keep it current, relevant and hot!  We specifically need House, Deep House, Balearic, Ibiza Chill Out, and Breakbeat.  No more Classic Disco please, but Nu-Disco is fine as long as it has a HOT dance beat and contemporary production technique. 
  • Jazz  -  Instrumental Smooth Jazz, Nu-Jazz, Soul Jazz, Chill Jazz, and similar forms of contemporary Jazz.  Vocal Jazz in any Jazz subgenre is ALWAYS welcome and usable, please always upload both the vocal and instrumental version of each track you upload here, and group them together.
     
  • Ambient  -  Meditation/Spa, Yoga Music, Chill Out

There is a recent article in Billboard Magazine that discusses that they have tracked 1.03 trillion streams in the first half of 2015. This number is from legal music services such as Spotify. The number is massive! To gain serious traction with that streaming activity, we have to be very aggressive. The deck space is very, very competitive and to gain visibility, we are now producing a very high number of compilation albums each quarter.  The key is to get music through the 'noise' of the other tens of millions of recordings (and billions of streams) to listeners eyes and ears.  So far, it is working very well.
