Russian-born composer Sergei Stern moved to Israel in 1995, and produces music for Film, TV, commercials, games, and other media. He studied Bach and Mozart as a child, then finished his B.Mus in composition and conducting in an Academy of Music, Tel-Aviv University. Sergei taught himself how to sing and play the guitar, and formed the popular band Yeah. Performing as lead singer for Yeah, Sergei toured, won composition and vocal competitions, and appeared in a TV commercial and on TV and Radio shows. He composes in Rock, Pop, Jazz, Electronic and Classical genres.
Sergei Stern was born in Russia in 1981 into a very musical family. His fingertips first touched the piano keys at an age of 3. Piano classical school was finished with honors and at the same time Sergei taught himself another instrument – guitar, influenced by The Beatles and Queen. After moving to Israel in 1995 and finalizing his musical education, he formed and toured with the popular band Yeah. During this period, Sergei began arranging and composing for different projects, working in a few audio-media companies, and finally performed on a single with a famous Israeli rock legend artist.
Today Sergei has moved on and dedicates his time to composing and producing music for movies and commercials in his professional studio in Haifa.
