Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (baptized as Johannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart; January 27, 1756 – December 5, 1791) was a prolific and highly influential composer of Classical music. His enormous output of more than six hundred compositions includes works that are widely acknowledged as pinnacles of symphonic, chamber, piano, operatic, and choral music. Mozart is among the most enduringly popular of European composers, and many of his works are part of the standard concert repertoire.

This last movement maintains just as much fire as the first movement, full of musical suprises, such as three beats of silence following the brisk opening. Instrumental, Classical Music, Classical Period, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
The D major minuet provides a bright change of atmosphere from the previous slow, serious Adante movement. The Menuetto is bright and light whereas the Trio creates a more flowing effect. Instrumental, Classical Music, Classical Period, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
The G major second movement provided a welcome relief with its slow, graceful melodies announced by the woodwind section. The movement is an abridged sonata form. Instrumental, Classical Music, Classical Period, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
The energetic last movement, another sonata form movement in 6/8 time, connects back to the first movement with its octave drop in the main theme. Instrumental, Classical Music, Classical Period, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
