Q. Which audio file type is most desired by customers (WAV or MP3)?
A. When a client purchases a track, they are able to choose the file format they wish to download (wav, mp3, aiff, wma and au). Regardless of which type of file you upload (wav or mp3 accepted only for uploads), we convert it in real time to the file type the client selects to download. We consistently find that as long as you upload tracks in high resolution mp3 encoded at 320Kbps, the conversion to wav or other formats is indistinguishable in terms of audio quality, and makes the uploading process faster for you as well as takes up substantially less disk space on the AudioSparx system.
