Q. Why does the price for music tracks I add to my shopping cart vary from the price listed on the site?
A. AudioSparx is very successful at attracting music artists from all parts of the world. We have some of the very top composers in the world whose music is used for major Hollywood motion pictures, national TV commercials and much more. The reason we are able to attract such top talent is that our site uses variant pricing for music tracks, where pricing varies based on how our clients intend to use the music in their productions.
For projects that are small in scope, or local-use only, or short-term use only, the music is priced lower than for projects that have a larger scope or that have a long-term need for the music, or is broadcast or distributed widely (e.g. national or worldwide). As you add a music track to your shopping cart, you choose the license type you need, and then configure the parameters of the license on the following screen. The computed pricing for your selected license and license parameters fluctuates up or down from the listed "base price" based on which license you select and how you configure the parameters.
The pricing is variant because it is only fair to our clients to pay a smaller fee for small, local, or short-term use, and a higher price for larger uses, all commensurate with the scope-of-use of each project's use of the music track.
Please note that we always provide the option for you to request a discount on the "computed price" that you see after configuring your license. If there are extenuating circumstances that warrant a lower price, we are often able to work out a favorable discount for you. We hate to lose business, and we love to wheel and deal, so please don't hesitate to submit a reasonable discount request and we will try to work it out for you. If we can't exactly match your discount request, we will often make a reasonable counter-offer.
