“Ross Ellis” is an important World War Two Documentary created by Canada’s Lamplight Productions for Valour Canada, whose goal is to connect Canadians to their military heritage. In 1939, Canada declared war on Germany, and Ross Ellis was a brave young commander who led the Canadian Army in a slogging battle in Europe in 1944 straight through to Germany's surrender.
The film contains historic film footage from the European front, with the goal of showing today's citizens how the war shaped their country, their beliefs and goals for doing the right thing when peril approaches. Canada's strength relies on the tradition of maintaining a national pride and providing hope to its younger generations by honoring those who served and sacrificed for their country.
At 41 sec, our French Composer Cedric Mevrel’s Regal Orchestral cue “The Last Rider” introduces the backstory of Ross Ellis’ life: The Last Ride
At 3.08 min, as Canada's soldiers arrive in France in 1944, Dutch Composer/Producer Johan van der Voet’s pounding military track “Taskforce Delta” turns up the heat: Taskforce Delta
At 8.08 min, German Composer Raphael Otterbein’s low-key “Main Theme (World War II Soundtrack Series)” offers a positive, hopeful closing to the film, music perfect for creating an uplifting, heroic ambience: Main Theme (World War II Soundtrack Series)
