To the bitter winds
Behind the shabby screens
All the wasted loves 
And the Pointless “might have beens”
Evidence piled high and plain
To bring you back down again
To who you once were,
Way back then, way back there

Old Friends, old friends
Faces, from far off troubled times
You said you wouldn’t disappear
And you’d always be in touch
In the end the gates were closed
And the distance proved too much
Seems such a dreadful shame
But things they don’t stay the same
By bad luck or fate
