Norm Estes, AKA Skool, was born in Detroit, Michigan. He grew up in the Detroit neighborhoods and attended Detroit Public Schools, influenced by the Motown sound and the sounds of Rock, Funk, Jazz, and Dance. He moved to Los Angeles, California, and attended and graduated from Crenshaw High School. However, he had always had a passion for music. Skool was inspired by legendary Detroit DJs such as Tiger Dan and The Electrifying Mojo. With that passion, Skool started making beats and mixing music.
