SHE CRIES IN HER SLEEP

Verse One:

She never stopped to take a breath
She lived life to the full
She’d sing she’d dance she’d talk a lot
With her life was never dull
But now she does not talk to me
She just stares into space
No sound no movement no emotion
No expression on her face

Chorus:

She cries in her sleep
Tears roll down her cheek
She whispers words I don’t understand
She shivers as she weeps
But when the morning comes
The crying ends
She opens up her eyes
And is silent again

My favourite memory is when she’d laugh
She’d light up the room she was in
She would find hilarious
The smallest little thing
Her eyes would sparkle her nose would wiggle
Like a lion she would roar
Her body would shake she’d almost tumble
But now she laughs no more

Every day I read to her from her favorite poetry
