Leiza Michaels is a versatile Entertainer, Singer, and Songwriter based in Florida whose dynamic style is at home at the Plaza Hotel and in Jazz haunts like Smoke and Blue Note. She has performed Jazz standards from The Great American Songbook in Europe and the US, and currently appears in Southern Florida. Her new album was co-written with Jay Carney of Starburst Records. Leiza’s songs express her love for the music of luminaries Cole Porter, George Gershwin, and Irving Berlin, and her tune "Pure White Snow" pays homage to Billie Holiday.

The originally written lyrics were all about a relationship, but literally on the night before recording, Leiza & Jay huddled together at our hotel in Nashville and radically changed the tenor and concept of the entire song to be about female independence.
