Nicole-Marie's second CD release "All the Lights of Heaven" is quite a departure from her first album "Storybook". Whereas Storybook was a no-frills mix of folk rock and hip hop music, on this new album, this singer/songwriter from Tacoma, Washington decided to focus on writing songs of a spiritual nature that promote healing. The title track was written after studying "A Course in Miracles." It was written as she was about to have her annual CT scan for a history of cancer.
(MARCH 2024) All it Takes to Fly is inspired by the quote: "When we walk to the edge of all the light we have, and take the step into the darkness of the unknown, we must believe one of two things will happen: there will be something solid for us to stand on, or we will be taught how to fly." - Claire Norris, Female Vocals, Singer/Songwriter, Folk Singer-Songwriter
Forever An Ocean is a song about trying to write the anxiety of a trying relationship out of your system, it's about coping with the heartache and heartbreak that a partner puts you through by writing a song about it, Female Vocals, Country, Country Ballads
The songwriter wrote this angry pop rock song by accessing her unconscious to write about an event that occurred 20 years later, her husband's affair revealed to her right after her mother's death. The song is about kicking someone when they are down and discarding someone like they are trash. Female Vocals, Pop, 80's Pop
The Music Our Love Makes has flavors of RnB and Adult contemporary genres. The song was inspired by the songwriter's appreciation and awareness of love surviving separation, surviving hardship and lasting past any painful circumstances to a place where forever resides. Synthesizer-driven song reminiscent of Debbie Gibson bubble gum teen pop about enduring whatever emotional storms come your way. Female Vocals, Pop, Pop Music
When California's Gone is a Grunge County song about overcoming materialism and superficiality. The songwriter was not exactly happy with the production of this song because she felt it sounded "too perfect" and overproduced. But it's a beautiful song nonetheless. Female Vocals, Singer/Songwriter, Folk Singer-Songwriter
