Al began teaching piano at age 11 and soloed in many exclusive Miami Beach nightclubs, playing in several bands. Al moved to California and received a degree from the Musicians Institute in 2011. He also studied under Grammy Award winner Russ Ferrante, of the Yellowjackets.
