A collaboration between artists in the US and Australia, The Valery Trails craft atmospheric guitar-based Indie Rock music. Their debut album, Ghosts and Gravity, was described as "marvelously moody and melancholy... an intoxicating cocktail of sheer aural pleasure" (Joe Wawrzyniak, Jersey Beat). In addition to widespread radio airplay in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, The Valery Trails have also been heard on Roadtrip Nation (PBS) and Dew Tour extreme sport online videos. They are currently working on their second full-length album.
Off-kilter rhythm paired with big guitar hooks and multiple looping melodies (including an e-bow riff reminiscent of new-wave synth). Lyrics are alternately cynical and hopeful. Good for sports and dramatic or action scenes. Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Alt Rock
Relatively sparse beginning builds into an epic shoegaze wall of sound with layers of guitars and howling feedback. Introspective lyrics reflect on a lost love, clinging to a slim hope of restoration. Suitable for dramatic and romantic scenes about someone or something lost. Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Shoegaze
Straight-ahead rocker with a fuzz-guitar hook that sounds a bit like a horn section. Strong backbeat throughout, then winds up to a hard-driving ending. Reflective but upbeat lyrics tell a story of a homecoming after many years. Use in dramatic or comedic homecoming scenes or travel documentaries. Male Vocals, Rock, 60s Rock
Jangly, dreamy almost trance-y. Finishes with searing but smooth electric guitar lead break. Serene vocals, with oohs, ahs and harmonies. Would work for "boy meets girl" and "boy loses girl" scenes, or reminiscing about a lost love. Mixed Vocals, Indie Rock, Britpop
Jangly guitar over a subdued opening featuring hushed vocals and atmospheric e-bow. A traveling song which builds as the journey continues, finishing up with a powerful ending featuring distorted guitars and epic feedback squalls. Great for road movies and other travel stories. Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Jangle Pop
Driving, country-rock (Byrds, Gram Parsons) influenced sound punctuated by a groovy wah-wah guitar solo. Bright and breezy, positive and upbeat, lyrics talk about a hopeful homecoming, with an undercurrent of nervousness (will things be the same?) Good for scenes about any kind of happy return. Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Jangle Pop
A lush wall of sound washing over repeating simple male and female vocal motifs and chiming guitar lines. Ambient and ethereal, this track will work as background for a wide variety of dramatic uses, or more upfront as an accompaniment to stunning visuals. Male Vocals, Indie Rock, Shoegaze
