Pantaléon Enrique Costanzo Granados y Campiña (1867 – 1916) was a Spanish pianist and composer of classical music. His music is in a uniquely Spanish style and, as such, representative of musical nationalism. He was born in Lérida, Catalonia (Spain). As a young man he studied piano in Barcelona, where his teachers included Francisco Jurnet and Joan Baptista Pujol. In 1887 he went to Paris to study with De Beriot and, most importantly, Felipe Pedrell.
This mellow, tragic and melancholy piano solo would be great for documentaries, dramatic films, PBS, Discovery and much more. The soaring arpeggios near its end makes this a bittersweet composition. Instrumental, Classical, Romantic, Enrique Granados
Guitar solo with orchestra evocative of European country dance or cinematic backdrop. Think of hikers in the rolling hills of Scandinavia or cyclists gliding the country roads in France, Spain, Belgium or Germany. This is evocative, cinematic music depicting leisure in the countryside, Instrumental, Classical, Romantic, Enrique Granados
Light, delicate and playful this was originally written for piano and has since become very popular with guitarists. Very much in a Spanish style it reflects on childhood with love and affection. Instrumental, Classical, Classical Guitar, Enrique Granados
Light and lovely classical piano piece. Great for invoking medieval atmosphere, romanticism in the arts. Instrumental, Classical, Classical Piano, Enrique Granados
