Bounding Main
Bounding Main is a costumed vocal group that sings richly harmonic versions of traditional maritime songs. The musicians and performers of Bounding Main include Dean Calin, Christie Dalby, Gina Dalby, Maggie Hannington, Jon Krivitzky, David Yondorf. Their shows are filled with spirit, humor and harmony, and their arrangements of traditional nautical music bring the listener into the world of pirates, adventure and romance.
Each member of Bounding Main is a music and theater veteran, with diverse entertainment backgrounds. Their performances and CDs have been well received with brisk US and international sales. They have performed at music festivals, nautical festivals, major tall ships events, maritime museums, renaissance faires, folk music venues, corporate events and at select house concerts.
Everyone loves pirates, and what better song than Derelict to give an audience all of the expected "Yo-ho-ho's" that they long to hear? David Yondorf's amazing voice carries all of us through this piece. Heather Lewin's fiddle helps us turn this song into an appropriately spooky piece. Leave Her, Johnnie is homeward-bound shanty and is normally sung by the men preparatory to landing.
