Musician and composer David Waugh of Johannesburg, South Africa, is a member of the South African Music Award-nominated band Lonehill Estate. With his band, he has co-written, produced and mixed two South African #1 hits. With a passion for scoring films, David's music genres and styles include Hard Rock, Orchestral, Electro, Avant Garde, Ambient Underscore, Easy Listening and Acoustic. His work is heard in film, advertising and television programs, and credits include the theme for the video game “Bounty Arms” and three Lonehill Estate tracks in the film Finding Lenny.
David Waugh's band Lonehill Estate has opened for top acts including Muse, Korn, Good Charlotte, and 30 Seconds To Mars, as well as played in The Global Battle of the Bands at London's legendary Astoria Hotel. David is incredibly successful in the Pop and Rock genres, but it's his passion for film score that has brought success in his career. His credits include scoring the film "Swop" along with Richard Vosgatter, as well as music for corporations as diverse as The King Edward Hotel, Aurecon, Sasol, Liberty, Interwaste, and Clover. Two songs produced and mixed by David for his band Lonehill Estate, "Techno Band" and "Gangstar," went to Number 1 on South Africa's Pop and Rock charts.
