John Parker VI
John Parker VI is a prolific English Writer/Composer with a number of instrumental and disc programs to his credit. Currently, his agenda includes Swiss and German television projects as well as his latest release, 1914-18, an ambitious alternative instrumental album that captures the drama and poignant reflections of war and conflict in a contemporary idiom. His current work is similar to Edgar Meyer (Appalachia Waltz), Brian Eno (Apollo), and Roger Eno (The Flatlands).
1914-18 is based around World War I and the events that shaped the world during the title's years.
Each track contains Parker's distinct blend of acoustic and electronic instruments in an effort to convey the feelings that resonate with conflict. Parker's unique musical scope weaves a story throughout the album, bringing the listener through a reflective and emotional journey.
