Based in the UK, Martin Higgins is an up-and-coming composer and arranger in the Dramatic, Classical, and Pop genres. He discovered his passion for composition while studying clarinet and saxophone at Birmingham University, during which time he wrote many pieces that were performed by the University's orchestras and ensembles, as well as the Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (BCMG). Since then, Martin has been busy completing orchestration work for Martin Dickinson's album "Encore," recorded live at Abbey Road Studios, and his first award-winning film, "Vaagai Sooda Vaa."
Martin Higgins won a prize as a finalist in the Sibelius Student Composer of The Year competition in 2008, and he is currently orchestrator of the upcoming musical "Mayday In Mid-April" -- a character-based story loosely connected to the sinking of the Titanic.
