Roy Yarkoni is an Israeli composer and producer who trained as a Classical pianist from youth, then took up composition, Jazz, and contemporary Electronic genres. He has been composing and producing music for Films, TV, Theater, and Dance for the last 10 years. In addition, Roy is involved in the Israeli alternative and indie scene, leading and participating in a few well-known Israeli bands. This background allows Roy to create music in many genres, including Classical, Jazz, Electronic, and Rock, all with his own approach and style of music creation.
Following years of Classical piano training, Roy Yarkoni graduated from the Rimon School of Jazz and Contemporary Music before moving into music studies at the Muzik School of Electronic Music. Roy's music for dance and films has been performed around the world, along with his international band's music, such as "Ahvak" and "Panic Ensemble". Other highlights of Roy's career include orchestration and production for the Israeli films "Five Hours from Paris" and "What a Wonderful Place," and for the Original Israeli TV series "In Treatment," which was bought by HBO. Roy also composed music for the well-known Israeli dance companies Noa Dar Dance Group and Michal Herman Dance Group.
Roy's compositions were featured by the Khan Theatre, one of Israel's major theaters, and Haifa Theater, and he was nominated as a finalist in the IMA (Independent Music Awards) competition with his song, "Spring in Your Heart".
