Dedicated to her art, the self taught artist secured work with other artists in the Nashville area and began a long journey to finding her style. Working with Country Bands to Top 40 cover bands, studio work and singing in Nashville Honky Tonks, Shay began to develop her niche. With influences ranging from Country and Southern Gospel to Rock and Blues, somewhere in between all of these genres Shay emerged with her own voice.
A political/science fiction upbeat pop song. UFO enthusiasts will find something to like in the lyrics. Can also be used to describe the never ending series of satellites circling the Earth able to zero in on any of us in an instant to within three feet or so. Paranoia also a theme. Female Vocals, Pop Music, Pop Groove
Optimistic track, gradually builds in tempo and intensity for the chorus then back down again for each verse. sultry female vocals, come on mood. Staying optimistic in the face of adversity, even better with a sexy female voice delivering the message, one can imagine her singing slide, not smile. Female Vocals, Rock Music, Pop Rock
Rollicking female vocals on this country number with a dance beat. Describing how she's been good while her man has been bad on her, running around on her. Tale of spousal or girlfriend neglect. Plenty of really great instrumental breaks to tie the vocals together, no resolution for the girl, sadly. Female Vocals, Blues Music, Texas Blues
Country ballad, slow with sexy and sultry female vocals. All the good advice she gets from her parents about the man in her life she doesn't believe. Trapped in a loveless relationship, she feels the blues-the mood of which comes through in the song-she remains an eternal optimist in life, anyway. Female Vocals, Blues Music, Modern Electric Blues
Slow tempo country ballad, long intro of just over 30 seconds of guitar and backbeat before female vocals kick in, depressed mood, but determined to make the best of things, but decides to drink the night away. Sorrowful mood, self defeating, knows she isn't making the best decisions, helpless. Female Vocals, Blues Music, Delta Blues
Midtempo, consistent beat on this sultry female vocal track with excess sexiness. Sensual vocals reaching into the stratosphere on those high notes, ironically as she's singing "Don't Bring Me Down". Sexy siren singing with dynamite instrumentation-unfortunately, she's unappreciated and knows it. Female Vocals, Blues Music, Texas Blues
Sweet country ballad with strong, sometimes sultry female vocals. Simple instrumentation, strong message. Woman questioning the strength of her relationship, believes, perhaps mistakenly, she will emerge victorious in a three way battle. Questioning mood. Female Vocals, Blues Music, Country Blues
Dancing beat and at the same time a great listening song with female vocals singing about first love. Happy, upbeat, girl meets guy and falls head over heels in love tale. Midtempo to fast tempo, very optimistic, hopeful, thankful mood. Everything she's ever dreamed of. Sexy and sultry. Female Vocals, Pop Music, Dream Pop
Mid tempo song with elements of country, blues, rock, and R&B. Sultry female vocals singing about love slippin' away, through the normal course of time. Warns her partner not to take her granted, one hopes her message gets through before it's too late. Honest, sincere and hopeful. Female Vocals, RnB Music, Chicago Soul
