Ragtime piano, toe-tapping, fun, upbeat, cheerful, reminiscent of the "roaring twenties" in American history before the Depression. Lively and certain to raise a person's spirits. Instrumental, Jazz, Ragtime
A popular two-step tune from the early 20th century, played here in a "stride" piano style. Has a good steady beat, and is great for singing along or dancing if you want to. Full of nostalgia from anyone born before 1935. Instrumental, Jazz, Swing Stride
Fun Mid tempo syncopated Ragtime piano solo. Nostalgia, memories of earlier eras, Golden Oldies, American favorites, cultural lore. Turn of the century films about New Orleans or St. Louis, the birthplace of Ragtime. Robert Redford's 1973 film The Sting revived the popularity of Ragtime. Instrumental, Jazz, Swing Stride
This is a short medium tempo ragtime piece, more of a 'ragtime miniature', but is energetic and moving, as the title would indicate. With this and other ragtime piano pieces, it is impossible to listen to them and be in a depressed state - they are truly mood uplifters. Instrumental, Jazz, Ragtime
A ragtime piano piece about which one listener recently said: “First time I am hearing "Davidson Mesa Looking West", smooth, skillful and classy. Puts me in a happy mood.” This is definitely a fun, cheerful, toe-tapping track. Instrumental, Jazz, Swing Stride
Ragtime Piano track with an uptempo rhythm and fun feel. Rather subtle - Reminiscent of Scott Joplin's The Entertainer, made into an unlikely hit in 1974 by Marvin Hamlisch as the theme from The Sting, a period film set in the 1930's. Ideal for similar projects or anything wanting to convey the era. Instrumental, Jazz, Ragtime
Picture a lonely shepherd boy playing the flute - serenading only himself and his sheep. This one is rather slow and haunting. Instrumental, Jazz, Smooth Jazz
This is classified as a 'novelty' tune, but it's very similar to early ragtime piano music. Composed in 1921 by Zez Confrey, there are places in this that sound just like a kitten bouncing into the keys and out again. It's very descriptive of that in a fun, tongue-in-cheek way. Instrumental, Jazz, Ragtime
This has two section - the first pretty energetic and the last one is quite mellow with a nice melody and flowing accompaniment underneath. Good steady toe-tapping beat and tends to make listeners happy. Instrumental, Jazz, Swing Stride
Ragtime piano, in a similar upbeat, happy style as Marvin Hamlisch's The Enterianer from the Robert Redford and Paul Newman film The Sting. Instrumental, Jazz, Ragtime
This is a period niche from the 1920's. Not exactly ragtime or jazz, it is termed a 'novelty' tune. There is a definite beat, and like ragtime, it is upbeat, toe-tapping and fun. Picture the flapper era, in the happy optimistic time in the USA between the First World War and the depression. Instrumental, Jazz, Dramatic Jazz Piano
