Lochlainn has written over 60 albums worth of music in a wide variety of genres, from country, bluegrass, Celtic, pop, and rock, to Christian, classical, jazz, new age, and techno. His songs, jingles, and theme music have been heard on TV, radio, and the Internet nationwide, and he has received more than 30 awards and commendations for composition, song writing, and lyrical excellence.

A skilled master of many musical forms, from medieval to contemporary, Lochlainn was born with music in his blood. The son of a Kentucky father and West Virginia mother, Lochlainn is close cousins with Dolly Parton, Ricky Skaggs, Lee Ann Womack, Patty Loveless, the Judds, Crystal Gale, Pat and Debbie Boone, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Elvis Presley.
