Junko Aono (Childrens Tracks)

Junko Aono is a native Japanese artist, who grew up as a piano player. She started to learn the Yangqin while studying Chinese Language at Waseda University in Japan. Junko released her first CD “ Fantasy of Silk Road” in 1993, and has performed in many concerts with groups, as well as given her own solo concerts, playing classic, folk, and jazz with Yangqin. In 1999, she moved to United States with her family, she is now raising her three daughters.   Yangqin is a Chinese dulcimer that is a traditional instrument which originated from Persia (Iran).
