Born in Aberdeen, Scotland, Alex Harris grew up in an interesting multi cultural family and today resides in Italy, living as an Italian American. He grew up playing drums to Led Zeppelin, but the sounds of Enya’s music and Jan Hammer’s “Beyond the Mind’s Eye” inspired him to write music for films. His career began by creating classical orchestral music mixed with intricate motion and ambience for the luxurious Bang & Olufsen’s line of home theatre products. Since then, he has set a dramatic tone for numerous scenes in documentaries and short feature films.
Dramatic, epic and heart moving, these are only a few words used to describe Alex Harris' repertoire of music. "You don't need a video in order to write good background music...just take a look at the world."
If this track doesn't slow your heart rate, then I don't know what does. With a combination of hollow pad and minors, this music will make your viewers dream. Dreamy, yet melancholy with a touch of uncertainty. Musically, slow and moving strings and piano edged synthesizer create a mysterious feel. Instrumental, Dramatic, Sad Music
This is a collage of a few versions, each one applicable to a different scene while maintaining a similar theme. It warms the listener with its classical instruments and soothing synths. Scenes from the ER, Medical Drama, Soap Opera, regrets, flashbacks, missed opportunities but still hopeful! Instrumental, Dramatic, Ethereal Music
Building and beautiful piano and strings create a track with very effective dramatic power, ideal for long camera shots, such as flyovers and exploring the great wide open. This track can also accompany a listener during moments of reflection. Instrumental, Dramatic, Tender music
