Lestir frá Reykjavík (Instrumental Tracks)

Country: Iceland

This Icelandic band, Lestir frá Reykjavík, has existed sporadically since 1988. The members are two sets of brothers: Arni and Toti Kristjansson, members of the punk band Vonbrigdi, beloved in the early eighties and recently resurrected; and Hermann and Jon Hallur Stefansson, both novelists. They released an LP in 1990, and in 2004 they contributed origininal music to a theater production of Tennessee Williams's A Streetcar Named Desire, releasing the soundtrack as the CDR Girnd. In 2009, the members collaborated in the group Teinar, releasing an alternative Christmas album.

Lestir frá Reykjavík Instrumental rock. Gritty rock groove with a bouncy, powerful beat and some colorful guitar work. The atmosphere is dense with things about to happen, almost jolly and definately alert, but chances are being taken, there is danger. Another version follows in Trash and desire (refrain). Instrumental, Rock, Hard Rock
