Smetana, Bedrich
Bedrich Smetana (1824 - 1884) was a Czech composer. He is best known for his symphonic poem Vltava (The Moldau), the second in a cycle of six which he entitled Má vlast ("My Country"), and for his opera The Bartered Bride.Additional info here.
The composition depicts the course of the river, beginning from its two small sources through the countryside, with nymphs, through the rocks, past castles and finally disappears in the distance into the Elbe, Instrumental, Classical Music, Romantic Period, Bedrich Smetana
