There was a time, you were the only thing on my mind.
You had such a hold over me, I was too blind to see.

I couldn't sleep, I couldn't think, I very nearly turned to drink.
I let myself down, yea I got burned, but now I gain strength
from the things that I have learned.

Many days, and changing ways, have come between us, from then till now.
I think back to the state that I was in, I never thought that I'd be sane again.

Now I'm stronger, the pain has gone, time has healed
and life goes on and on and on.
I'm better now than I've ever been,
and I thank God, for the things that I have seen.

And now the time has come, to let you know,
I'm letting go.
