The Texas Gypsies is an award-winning, unique and fun band that plays 200 shows a year! They have received much critical praise for their fun blend of original Gypsy Jazz, Western Swing and vintage-yet-modern sound! In 2008, they were Awarded "Swing Band of the Year" and designated as an American Masterpiece by the National Endowment for the Arts. We're excited to have the Texas Gypsies and their wild music on board as they scramble to keep up with their growing fan base and hectic regional and national touring schedules.
The Texas Gypsies formed by experienced professional musicians including a Grammy winner and sidemen for many famous recording artists, this band represents a love for "Pop music, Swing or Hot Jazz, from the 30's and 40's" along with a Southwestern Swing influence to create its own unique sound. The upbeat, singable and danceable sound always turns people's heads and keeps their interest, whether it's a youngster hearing a new sound for the first time or an someone older recalling a great time! *Awarded "Swing Band of the year 2008" by The National Academy of Western Artists. *Voted “Best of Bands” by The Knot Mag! *A Texas Commission on The Arts supported the touring band AND the group was included in the National Endowment for the Arts American Masterpieces Program!
