I started out singing blues in my living room. After a few years singing for my mom and dad’s friends, my dad decided to take me with him to sing at house parties. My dad played drums while I played keyboards and sang. As I got older, I was introduced to play keyboards with different local bands. My love for gospel music was never forgotten. As I grew closer to God, I started backing away from the blues scene. In the late 70’s I moved to New York City where I got back into singing in various nite clubs. I crossed paths with many professional, now famous artists stemming from the 60’s on up.
In 1982 God touched my soul deep within and I never went back to the clubs, never looked back at my old life because God gave me a new beginning. I have had many struggles in life and used my music as a comfort zone. I once heard a preacher say, “You’ve got to go through in order to come out”. I believe that through my music, I can touch someone’s soul and introduce deliverance to each and everyone one of them.I believe that through my music, I can touch someone’s soul and introduce deliverance to each and everyone one of them.God Bless,Lonnie Williams
