Most of Michael's music features a guitar synthesizer to achieve the string sections, brass and sounds of a keyboard synthesizer. Demonstrating exceptional talent, Michael composes and performs in broad musical styles ranging from Django Reinhardt to Rap/Hip-Hop. His mastery of the guitar, his thoughtful development of melody and his wry humour shine in these tracks, and would be perfect for almost every type of media dramatization. Included in this collection are a number of pieces composed specifically for 30 seconds for advertising themes.
Michael's enticing music is well-suited to TV, corporate, and advertising purposes, as well as simply pleasant and interesting listening. His work includes tender and emotive anthems, some strong and driving instrumentation, and quirky and comic songs in various styles. Michael's work is built around Jazz, but includes many sideroads into Rock, Pop, Classical, and Rap/Hip Hop formats.

Michael Warner performs a hot, raw, acoustic jazz guitar melody that could be straight out of the 1940's. A scrubby acoustic rhythm with double bass and an intuitive, tight drummer make "Django-ish" a quirky, bright melody for an advertising theme, cooking program or even an outdoor show. Instrumental, Jazz, Gypsy Jazz
A smoky little jazz guitar tune reminiscent of the Django Reinhardt style of the late 1920's. A quiet and medium slow piece with a rhythm guitar, double bass (guitar synthesizer) and very quiet drums. It was played on a 1947 Maton (Australia) Jazz Guitar. Instrumental, Jazz, Gypsy Jazz
The voice of the UKULELE singing a tender but adventurous romance in the style of a Jazz Waltz. Such a beautiful "chorus" section that speaks of the summer days of youth yet elicits more mature and deeper feelings - all spoken in the language of jazz. A significant performance on the Uke! Instrumental, Jazz, Jazz Waltz
A UKULELE JAZZ SONG featuring a Benson-ish ukulele/voice scat. An "I've found you at last" song. Suited to a romantic scene in film/tv or, in advertising, to that one great product that you've found at last. Male Vocals, Jazz, Novelty Jazz
A most colorful 1930s or 1940s visual "art" song, vintage male vocal with UKULELE. It begs for an animator to transcribe every picturesque line to film. A romantic walk in silhouette. Old-fashioned romcom, sweet & innocent. In advertising, try Real Estate, holidays, fun parks, romantic getaways. Male Vocals, Jazz, Novelty Jazz
This colourful romantic UKULELE BOSSA-NOVA has overtones of Jobim in its harmonic construction and rhythm. Lightly humorous lyrics describing a "love boat" situation. Balmy nights, warm breezes and tender hearts. The ukulele performance is excellent with a great solo and harmonised counterpoint. Male Vocals, Jazz, Novelty Jazz
A CHARLESTON! With ukulele and harmonised vocal. A gorgeous, silhouette style of setting for a man proposing to a beautiful girl, with charming cottage and flowers. Very 1920's. Anything romance - TV, film, advertising wedding dresses or flowers, chauffeur driven vintage cars. Male Vocals, Jazz, Novelty Jazz
A slow, poignant melody carried on a flutey/synth tone with electric piano and double bass (all guitar synthesizer) and classical guitar playing jazz chords over slow modern drums. Awake on a hot night in the city! Instrumental, Jazz, Smooth Jazz
Short, comic jazz theme with saxophone, mute trumpet and double bass(performed on guitar synth) and jazz guitar backing well suited to advertising, titles or corporate purposes. Instrumental, Jazz, Swing Ensembles
A short complex jazz structure leading from a poignant moment to a moment of suspense and tension in 24 seconds. The lead voicing is a synthesiser sine wave set against an electric piano and double bass (all guitar synthesizer), Instrumental, Jazz, Acid Jazz
Once round a slow jazz guitar blues with another jazz guitar for rhythm plus strings (for a slightly orchestral overtone) and double bass on a guitar synthesizer and very light drums. Instrumental, Jazz, Orchestral Jazz
A grand theme in jazz/rock opened with an Oboe as if sweeping toward a city at sunset. The theme picked up by some serious guitar pickin' as the city moves into nighttime. This is guitar synthesizer in almost incomparable diversity. Brass, strings, electric piano - not programmed but played! Instrumental, Jazz, Jazz Rock
This witty little duet between bassoon and clarinet, supported by jazz guitar & drums, is performed on guitar synthesizer. The structure is trad.jazz though the bassoon doesn't normally play a part in trad - it's role here is that of bass. Comic Clarrie is well suited to advertising or TV titles, Instrumental, Jazz, Dixieland
Passing the time while his love is away writing a clever word play of nonsense rhyming connections (over a gorgeous jazz swing) - a touch of bassoon and pizzicato strings - but always the artful trumpet of Graeme Steel conjuring jazz conundrums through the rhythm. Instrumental, Jazz, Folk Jazz
