Performed in April by Berkeley Rep, Tartuffe’s dark comedy is a take on Religious Hypocrisy, and stars Steven Epp. Also called “The Impostor” or “The Hypocrite,” Wiki says the play is considered the “most famous of Moliere’s theatrical comedies” – a deliciously intense, entertaining play, described by TalkinBroadway.com “As spellbinding as a deadly snake charmed from a basket.”
