Another Day



The next few days I have to work..
It is a shame I need to sleep.
From miles away you call,
suggest we spend some time
and it all sounds fine…
for Another Day.

Another Day  
is a tropical island
a captain sees passing 
first, he takes his cargo
then, he can return.

The next days are my working debt,
Hours owed that aren’t mine yet.
But now I hear your voice,
suggest a meeting place
and I won’t hesitate
on Another Day.

Another Day 
is a lake in a forest
a boy sees while chopping
first, he brings the wood in
then, goes for a swim.

I owe my time to a young man’s plan.
He is the boss and the hired hand.
And so I’ll say good-bye
and leave the rest to time.
Today will glow then fade
to Another Day.
