RANDY PARSONS - Songwriter, composer, acoustic and electric guitar, bass, vocals. Randy’s songs and guitar instrumentals have been used in a variety of film and television projects. Randy’s song “Lucia Walk on The Beach” was used in the 2007 ABC Family hit series, Falcon Beach. Randy’s “Morning Sky” won first place in the Boston Folk Festival songwriting contest in 2005, and “Sweet Motion” was a finalist in the 2003 CMT/NSAI songwriting contest. Randy has performed with Grammy award-winning songwriter Hugh Prestwood accompanying him on electric bass.
Randy is NY based and studied music at the Juilliard School, Berklee, New York University and the New School with Hugh Prestwood, Henry Gaffney, Jeff Franzel and Pat Pattison. He has performed at the former Folk City (NYC), the Bitter End (NYC), the Nameless Coffeehouse (Boston), the Stephen Talkhouse (NY) and accompanied Grammy award winning songwriter Hugh Prestwood on electric bass.
