Toronto artist Mark Knox’s music has been covered by Norman Conners, Gerald Veasley, Bob Thompson, Grover Washington, Jr., and others. He’s been involved in world-class productions including Motown, Bill Cosby, The Philadelphia Orchestra, and Heads Up International Records. From simple “stings” to full-blown orchestral scores, Mark’s music appears in TV commercials, films, and corporate campaigns. As a composer, arranger, keyboardist, producer, and audio engineer, Mark's unique perspective on "both sides of the glass" shines in his original Jazz, Funk, Dramatic, and World music.
Mark Knox has been involved with many world-class projects and organizations, including “Standing in the Shadows of Motown,” “You Bet Your Life with Bill Cosby,” The Philadelphia Orchestra, The Philly Pops, The Opera Company of Philadelphia, "The Hamster Factor and Other Tales of Twelve Monkeys," and many other international productions, publications, and events. He is a voting member of CARAS, and was previously a voting NARAS member for over 10 years.
Mark worked as a recording engineer on two Grammy-nominated albums, and he has composed and produced many TV and radio commercials for Budget, Ford, Kia, Saxon Foods, Comcast Sportsnet, Yuengling Beer, many website music beds, and music for live theater.
Mark's CD of original compositions, entitled "Places," was released world-wide in 2006 and garnered many positive reviews from Jazz critics. As Keyboardist, Composer, and Co-Producer, Mark has appeared on all 9 of Gerald Veasley's Heads Up International CD releases.
